Do I need planning permission?
We make sure that our garden rooms are following the permitted development rules under class E, so there is no planning permission required. You can read more about this on our journal post on Planning Permission and Building Regulations.
Can I have a toilet in my garden room?
Our skilled team include qualified plumbers, so we are able to install bathrooms in your garden room.
Can my garden room have several rooms inside?
Yes, we are able to put add dividing walls so you can make the most of the space.
Can the room be customisable?
Unlike our competitors, we are able to offer completely customisable and unique garden room to your specification and size.
Can the structure be attached to my house?
No, the garden room must be a stand-alone structure, however our team are also very experienced in building home extensions. If you have any specific questions or enquiries, please feel free to fill in a contact sheet on our website or arrange a free consultation with us.
Can I have electrics in my garden room?
Yes, we have trained electricians in our team to help install lighting and plug sockets where you require.
How long will it take to build?
Our team work carefully and efficiently to a 2–3 week lead time. Please bare in mind that this can be effected by unforeseen factors, however we always keep our clients informed on any updates or issues we encounter and work hard to make sure these do not affect the project’s completion time.
Can I live in it?
Unfortunately, our garden rooms must fall within permitted development rules under class E, meaning no planning permission is required and they cannot be used for living or sleeping in.
Can it be a custom size?
Yes, at London Garden Space, we build garden rooms to your specification. We hold initial consultations with all clients to discuss and review what it is you would like to do and the space available.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, we offer flexible payment schedules which can be altered and discussed with our team during consultations.
Do you do all the building and finishings?
Yes, our team build the foundations, walls and roofing, install the electrics, plumbing, windows and doors and finish with painting the interior and exterior to your request. Everything we do is in-house, so if you have any specific needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
